Residency 11 - Autumn 2026
Sara Garcia & Olmo Cuna
Sara García & Olmo Cuña work in an interdisciplinary field that combines performance, food, audiovisual media, and craft techniques to explore how we relate to the unknown and our environment. They investigate what we cannot master, control, or name. Within the broad concept of the unknown, they are particularly interested in the idea of hospitality with the Other, as well as in exploring techniques that enable us to ‘stretch and contract time’ through the moving image.
They both studied Fine Arts at the University of Vigo and completed a master’s in Artistic Production at the Polytechnic University of Valencia, later joining the SOMA Educational Program in Mexico City (2016). Their work has been shown at institutions like LABoral (Asturias), XIV FEMSA Biennial (Mexico), CCESantiago (Chile), and Can Felipa (Barcelona), and featured in screenings at Cineteca Matadero (Madrid). They have collaborated with various art centres like Fundación Cerezales Antonino y Cinia (León) and participated in residency programs such as MGLC (Ljubljana), MeetFactory (Prague), and the Spanish Academy in Rome.
